Jesi Taylor Cruz is an agency model and writer whose work has been featured in Romper, Bustle, The Establishment, Blood + Milk, The Spool, BLK + GRN, Thought Catalog, and more. Jesi’s pronouns are she/they and current projects include a young adult novel, a stage play, and a budding herbalism-doula business. They are the co-host and co-producer of the podcast Time Out, Mom. Their academic background includes an honors degree in the Philosophy of Structural Violence and a certificate in Psycholinguistics. They are a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Research Fellow, Leader Alliance Mellon Initiative Fellow, Rosen Fellow, and a CUNY Pipeline for Careers in College Teaching and Research Fellow. Jesi is also a recipient of the Academy of American Poets University and College Prize, the J. Robert Loy Memorial Award in Philosophy, the Emily Michael Award in Philosophy, and the Philosophy Merit Book Award.
